Starting a Fijian Language Radio Show is Fun
Ni sa bula vinaka & welcome.
Early in June 2019, we started our first Radio Show. It's exciting. It is bi-lingual - Fijian Language & English.
The main focus of the Show is to promote Health & Disability issues in Fijian Language to our listeners. We plan our program each week based on the framework and guidelines given to us, as Pasifika Broadcasters at Wellington Access Radio 106.1FM by DHBs.
We also cover topical issues from Fijian (Indigenous) Cultural & Heritage topics tagged Luvei Viti Research towards the end of the Program.
In addition, one of the young adult looks after the Youth/Young Adult segment spoken in English. This is woven into the Program at Noda Bula e Aotearoa 106.1FM Wellington Access Radio.
